MWC Barcelona 2026 opened Monday, March 2. In the first 30 hours, the industry delivered satellite deals, autonomous network agreements, 6G coalition pledges, and a wave of AI deployments. 1. Deutsche Telekom announced a landmark Starlink satellite-to-mobile deal covering 10 European countries.

Deutsche Telekom and SpaceX's Starlink confirmed a direct-to-device satellite partnership that will bring satellite connectivity to European smartphones by early 2028.
